I'm a true size 4 (straight/athletic build) and purchased a size 27. They fit perfectly. If you are looking for a more slouchy/loose look, size up one size. The length on these are just right - not too short or too long. They have just enough distressing without looking too sloppy. These will get a lot of wear for me!

These are awesome and the pair of shorts you’ll be reaching for pretty much everyday! I have the riley jeans in a 28 but had to size down for these. 28 were way too big and baggie in the front. 27 were perfect with a little room around the legs- which is what I want in shorts
