Arc'teryx

Arc'teryx, a brand known for being at the forefront of the outdoor industry, was born among the rough mountains and untouched wilderness of North Vancouver. From the start, the brand has been immersed in a culture of innovation, where the mountains are both inspiration and testing ground. This ethos has led to the development of groundbreaking technologies, like the signature WaterTight™ zippers and the Tri-Dex™ glove construction technique, which have redefined industry standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Arc'teryx known for?

Arc'teryx is a Canadian technical outerwear label built around alpine performance. It is known for precise construction, minimal seams and hardshell pieces engineered for demanding mountain conditions rather than for casual styling alone.

What materials does Arc'teryx use?

Its hardshells center on GORE-TEX laminates, including the lighter GORE-TEX Pro ePE membrane, over recycled nylon face fabrics. Reinforcements such as Keprotec patches and stretch nylon-elastane linings appear where wear and movement demand them.

How does Arc'teryx gear fit?

Most pieces run true to size and are cut to layer, so a base layer and midlayer fit underneath without sizing up. Fit descriptors vary by style, and touring pieces are generally cut trimmer than resort-focused ones.

What does Arc'teryx make?

The range covers hardshell and insulated jackets, bibs and ski pants, midlayers, gloves and packs, spanning resort skiing, backcountry touring, climbing and everyday weather protection.

How should Arc'teryx shells be cared for?

Wash with a technical cleaner rather than detergent, and never use fabric softener, which clogs the membrane. Close all zippers first, then tumble dry low to reactivate the water-repellent finish on the face fabric.

Who is Arc'teryx best for?

It suits skiers, tourers and climbers who prioritize weather protection and durability over price, and anyone wanting outerwear that handles sustained wet or cold. The technical pieces also work well for winter commuting.
