I bought these shoes before a trip to Disney and Universal Studios as I didn't have a good pairs of walking shoes. I use barefoot type shoes on pavement. I have a pair of durable waterproof hiking boots. These Salomon XA Pro shoes are a perfect fit between those options. These shoes are lightweight, breathable, sturdy, and appear to be durable. I walked about 60 miles on pavement within one week in these shoes and didn't have much of a problem. The lacing system works and is easy. Since they are not water proof they are light and breathable. After 60 miles on pavement the soles still look brand new. I plan to use these on short, easy hikes in the warm months.
