Frequently Asked Questions

What is SOREL known for?

SOREL is a cold-weather footwear brand with Canadian roots, known for waterproof winter boots that balance rugged protection with modern style. The lineup pairs serious warmth and traction with looks that carry from snowy trails to city streets.

What materials and technologies does SOREL use?

SOREL boots feature waterproof uppers in leather, suede, and synthetic textiles, paired with insulation, often 200g, and cozy fleece or shearling linings. Molded EVA cushioning and grippy rubber outsoles, including Evertread, deliver comfort and traction on snow and ice.

How do SOREL boots fit?

Most SOREL boots fit true to size, though fit can vary by style. Roomier styles leave space for thick winter socks, while some sleeker silhouettes run slightly narrow or small. Checking each product's fit notes and sizing up for heavy socks helps.

What kinds of boots does SOREL make?

The range spans insulated waterproof boots for men, women, and kids, from lightweight lace-up styles and hiker-inspired alpine boots to easy hook and loop toddler snow boots. Most are built for fall and winter wear in cold, wet conditions.

How do I care for SOREL boots?

Wipe uppers with a damp cloth to remove salt and mud, and air dry away from direct heat. Use a suede brush on suede, condition leather to keep it water resistant, and gently brush shearling trim. Avoid machine washing.

How can I style SOREL boots?

SOREL boots pair easily with jeans, leggings, chinos, or joggers, bringing rugged outdoor style to everyday winter outfits. They suit snowy commutes, errands, and casual weekends, and their neutral, mountain-ready looks work for both function and fashion.
