Frequently Asked Questions

What is Lange known for?

Lange has built alpine ski boots since 1948, when founder Bob Lange introduced the first plastic reinforced shell. The brand is known for precise fit, powerful flex, and race bred performance on piste.

How does Lange ski boot sizing work?

Lange boots are sized in mondopoint, the length of your foot in centimeters, so a 26.5 centimeter foot takes a 26.5 boot. Width is chosen separately through the last volume.

What is the difference between LV, MV, and HV lasts?

LV is a 97mm last for narrow, low volume feet wanting maximum hold. MV is 100mm, the standard width that suits most skiers. HV runs wider still for broad forefeet.

What materials and technologies does Lange use?

Shells and cuffs are largely polyurethane, which stays damp and consistent in the cold, with Dual Core plastics of differing densities. The Shadow range adds a Suspension Blade Dual Pivot for smoother flex.

How do I care for Lange ski boots?

Unbuckle and remove the liners after every day so both dry at room temperature, well away from direct heat. Store shells lightly buckled through summer in a dry place out of sunlight.

What should I pair with Lange boots?

Choose GripWalk compatible bindings to match the pre-mounted soles, one thin ski sock rather than two, and a supportive footbed. A certified fitter can mold the liner and shell for a closer fit.
