Janessa Leone Hats: Straw & Felt

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Janessa Leone stand for?

Janessa Leone designs refined, timeless hats with an emphasis on natural materials and quiet, elegant detailing. The collection favors clean silhouettes, neutral tones, and considered craftsmanship, from packable straw styles to structured wool felt fedoras built to last beyond a single season.

What materials does Janessa Leone use?

The line centers on natural and packable straw, textured and crochet raffia, and 100 percent wool felt. Hats are finished with suede or regenerative leather bands and thoughtful accents. Many straw styles offer UPF sun protection, with select pieces handcrafted in Madagascar or made in the USA.

How do Janessa Leone hats fit?

Most styles run true to size, and the brand recommends sizing up if you are between sizes, then using hat sizers to fine-tune the feel. A few raffia bucket styles run large and are best sized down. Measure your head and check each style's size guide.

What types of hats does Janessa Leone offer?

The range spans warm-weather straw and raffia styles, including fedoras, sun hats, and bucket hats, alongside structured wool felt fedoras for cooler seasons. Crown shapes vary from pinched and cattleman to flat and round, with brims from about 3 to 5 inches.

How do I care for a Janessa Leone hat?

For straw and raffia, dust gently and spot clean with a barely damp cloth, then reshape by hand and store away from heat and moisture. For wool felt, brush along the nap, spot clean, and reshape with light steam. Keep suede and leather bands dry.

How should I style Janessa Leone hats?

Straw and raffia styles finish resort, beach, and sunny city looks with linen, sundresses, and swimwear. Wool felt fedoras anchor cool-weather outfits with coats, knits, and boots. The neutral palette and clean shapes make every style an easy, versatile finishing piece.
