Helly Hansen Ski Pants & Bibs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Helly Hansen known for?

Helly Hansen is a Norwegian outdoor brand with roots dating to 1877, trusted by skiers, sailors, and mountain professionals. It builds technical apparel that protects against cold, wind, and wet weather without sacrificing comfort or mobility.

What technologies and fabrics does Helly Hansen use?

Signature technologies include HELLY TECH waterproof-breathable membranes, PrimaLoft and LIFALOFT insulation for lightweight warmth, and LIFA and merino base layers for moisture management. Many pieces also add four-way stretch and a RECCO reflector for on-mountain safety.

How do Helly Hansen pieces fit?

Most Helly Hansen ski and outdoor styles run true to size in a classic cut with room for layering, so your usual size is a safe choice. Performance pieces such as the Alpha LIFALOFT pant fit trimmer, and base layers sit snug.

What does the Helly Hansen collection include?

The range spans men's insulated ski pants and bibs, plus teen and kids ski pants, bibs, and insulated jackets. It also includes grid-fleece midlayers and LIFA merino base layer sets for a full cold-weather layering system.

How should I care for Helly Hansen ski gear?

For waterproof pieces, close all fasteners and machine wash gentle without fabric softener, then tumble dry low to revive the water-repellent finish. Wash merino base layers inside out with a wool-safe detergent and lay them flat to dry.

How do I build a ski outfit with Helly Hansen?

Start with a LIFA or merino base layer, add a grid-fleece midlayer for warmth, and finish with an insulated jacket and ski pants or a bib. Complete the kit with warm socks, gloves, goggles, and a helmet.
