On a family trip to the Jersey Shore, Bogg Bag founder Kimberlee Vaccarella realized she had forgotten the kids' flip flops so they stopped at a local surf shop. Vaccarella's son came across a pair of funny looking shoes that everyone was talking about and bought 3 pairs. The Bogg Bag founder became fascinated with the lightweight material and feel of their new shoes. Once they were home from the trip, they began drawing prototypes for the perfect, lightweight beach bag.
