As a ski and snowboard shop since 1978, we know how special a first ski trip is! That's why Saint Bernard has been proud to support Texas Scottish Rite Hospital's annual Amputee Ski Trip to the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park, Colorado. As these special ski school students learn how to navigate the slopes, they also gain confidence, a sense of adventure and the community of being with a group of 14 teenagers who are using prosthetic limbs to thrive.
Knowing the first trip to the mountain can be daunting without the right gear, our team at Saint Bernard was thrilled to partner with our friends at Obermeyer and Giro to make sure the team was mountain ready. The Obermeyer womens ski jacket was a big hit for the girls, and boys were flying down the mountain in their matching shells too! Giro helmets and goggles kept the team safe and vision clear for long days on the slopes.
We can't thank the team enough fo trusting us in their care as they took on such an adventure!

While we may have our eyes on spring, winter weather isn’t over just yet! There is still time to shop Obermeyer skiwear for your family as you plan your upcoming trip to a cooler climate. We’ve selected some of our favorite, high quality Obermeyer pieces that are sure to be a hit for both you and your travel companions.
When it comes to women’s skiwear, the Obermeyer Tuscany jacket is a durable classic that fits every winter weather need. Available in several different colors, and in petite sizing, the Tuscany Jacket is an ultra flattering piece that contours perfectly to keep the body warm and dry. This fan favorite looks great with anything it’s paired with, but we especially love it with an Obermeyer sweater, like the Verbier Cashmere sweater, and Bond II ski pants. For a more insulating ensemble, the Splendid 150 Dri-Core top is a great option, as it will keep the body warm while wicking away sweat and moisture. Finally, outfit your Obermeyer women’s ski jacket with the fleece lined Peal Knit hat and Alpine gloves for a cohesive look that is polished and feminine. Obermeyer pieces continue to combine stylish with timeless to create pieces that are great whether you’re spending the day exploring the snowy terrain or are sipping hot chocolate in the lodge.
Obermeyer offers sleek, streamlined skiwear that fits every man’s style both on and off the slopes. In monochromatic tones, Obermeyer’s menswear pieces effortlessly pair with each other for cohesive looks that are warm and stand the test of time. To easily put together a cohesive men’s look, pair the sturdy and comfortable Process pant with the Endurance Dri-Core tights and Luxury Fleece top. To brighten up this look, throw on the Charger jacket, which is available in five different colors. For a particularly modern look, finish this look with black accessories and gear that will not show wear easily. Obermeyer menswear is great for men of any age as their classic design elements are complimentary and functional without being stuffy or boring.
The Obermeyer Kids line combines high quality fabrics and materials with flattering cuts and colors that appeal to both kids and parents, making them a popular choice year after year. For sporty boys, Obermeyer offers a great selection of high quality garments in colors and patterns that are fun and age appropriate. For a warm and edgy look, pair a monochromatic baselayer, such as the Baker top, available in three colors, with either the French Fries 75 tights or the Solar 150 Dri-Core Tights. To continue with this popular color scheme, throw on the Supercross Hybrid top, Jack Frost Fleece hat, and Alpine gloves. The combination of lime green with grey and black is a stylish combination that any boy would love to wear. For the playful and colorful gal, Obermeyer’s girl’s line is a perfect fit. Combining high quality with bright tones, the Obermeyer ski pants in Jolie are a great option that pairs nicely with the Dri-Core top, Pizza Pie top, or the Lovely Jacket. To add an extra layer for warmth, pair these pants with the Dri-Core tights and accessorize with the Obermeyer Covert Fleece hat and Radiator mittens. Obermeyer kids wear is playful and bright, just like the active kids that wear their garments!
These resilient and stylish garments will last year after year as you and your family makes mountainside memories in them. Shop our selection of Obermeyer garments at Saint Bernard both online with free three day shipping and in-store at our Dallas and Austin locations.

Are you looking for the perfect keepsake, Easter, Mother's Day or Father' Day gift?
Saint Bernard is excited to partner with local artisan Virginia Rose to offer hand cut silhouettes at our Inwood Village store.
We have made arrangements with Virginia Rose, a nationally recognized children’s silhouette artist, to hold one of her silhouette events at our store. She will be here on Friday, March 4th and Saturday, March 5th. It’s fascinating to watch Virginia create her silhouettes and her detail is absolutely exquisite. She will create the silhouettes “live” in our store and you can take the finished product home with you.
Silhouettes of children will make perfect gifts for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day or any other occasion. This will be a wonderful opportunity for you to obtain a custom silhouette of a child or grandchild that will be a cherished heirloom for your family.
Virginia creates original, scissor-cut silhouettes of children of all ages. In minutes she can capture the likeness of a child from a personal sitting in our store. Children do not have to be perfectly still. The charge is very reasonable, only $25 per person for the first 5” x 7” silhouette. Duplicates are only $12 each if you need extras for other family members. Frames are available for $20 each. 10% of sales from this event will benefit The Family Place, helping ensuring happy childhoods and family memories in our community for all.
Our store is currently taking appointments for this exciting event so call us at 214-357-9700.
We look forward to hearing from you!

SAINT BERNARD HEADS SOUTH
Dallas, Texas –Since 1978, Dallas shoppers have prepared for their trips to the slopes at St. Bernard Sports. A tradition of style, adventure and focus on relationships is still theheartbeat of the retail company 38 years later as it announces a new name, Saint Bernard, and new locations opening in The Domain in Austin and River Oaks District in Houston.
The Dallas Based Retail Store Keeps its Ski Roots and Expands in Austin and Houston
Helping families enjoy adventure and the outdoors in the most stylish way possible has been the intent of the store from the start, with the new name Saint Bernard widening the scope of what that entails today with full swim, sportswear and footwear selections. The new Austin and Houston locations will follow the flagship store in Dallas by offering a full range of ski as well as designer sportswear, swimwear and accessories.
The family owned and operated retailer, who is expected to reach $28 million in sales this year, currently has its flagship and outlet stores in Dallas, another location in downtown Austin’s 2ND Street District and an e-commerce site, saintbernard.com. The 12,442-sq.-ft. River Oaks District store is slated for an early spring 2016 opening, with the 12,000-sq.-ft. location in The Domain following in the fall.
“For the past 37 years, we’ve built our business listening and responding to our customers,” said Wes Goyer, president and founder of Saint Bernard. “We’re looking forward to being able to prepare the Austin and Houston communities for ski and travel with the same level of service our Dallas and online communities enjoy.”
“I’ve worked with Saint Bernard since they first expanded to Austin in 2007. With these two new stores in Austin and Houston, Saint Bernard can aptly reach their growing customer base in Texas.” said Mr.Vandergriff, first vice president at CBRE | UCR.
The new Austin store is in a prime spot in the newest phase of The Domain, next to Neiman Marcus. The Houston location is in The River Oaks District, the newest upscale retail development in Houston, between the Galleria and Highland Village. Both locations garner significant international consumers and have desirable co-tenancies.
While the name is new and expanding into new markets, the friendly atmosphere and attention to carrying only the best product will never change. The Saint Bernard flagship store in Inwood Village and Saint Bernard Outlet in The Shops at Park Lane in Dallas, along withthe Saint Bernard in Austin in the 2ND Street District are open now, getting ski and adventure shoppers ready for the current season.
