Saint Bernard Sports is Now SaintBernard.com!

Tuesday, August 25, 2015 2:23:00 PM America/Chicago

38 years ago, Wes and Anne Goyer were 26 year-old newlyweds, looking for a new adventure. Avid skiers and both the children of entrepreneurs, the Goyers followed their instincts and opened St. Bernard Sports, the designer ski shop in the city.

Since our first season, we’ve prided ourselves on knowing our customer’s style and sense of adventure, outfitting you to make every trip to the mountain your best one yet. As we’ve gotten to know you, we’ve offered more than our premier ski collection to keep up with where you’re going and how you want to look when you get there.

A truly adventurous life will take you everywhere: from the highest peaks to dinner downtown. We’re thrilled to grow and be able to offer you stylish and unique finds that stand out and set you apart. Not just in the mountains, but wherever you are.

Lately, we’ve been so much more than "sports." In our second generation of family ownership, we’re in no rush to say goodbye to our roots. And nearing 40 years in the business, we know the best things come in time.

This is why, with much thought and excitement, we’re prouder than ever to introduce our new name and website domain, SaintBernard.com.

Like we say in our stores, we love having you pop by! Browse our new arrivals, or drop us a chat or email and let us know where you’re headed next so we can personally equip you for your next escape. And always expect free three day shipping on orders over $49 and free returns at Saint Bernard

Kensington, Trillium or Shelburne: Which Canada Goose Parka is Your Pick?

Thursday, August 20, 2015 12:12:33 PM America/Chicago

The Canada Goose parka is now synonymous with winter adventure and style. With three popular parka styles: the Kensington, Trillium and Shelburne, it can be overwhelming to decide what jacket is best for your outdoor style and needs. Our comparison highlights all three styles so you know your pick is the perfect parka for you!

Canada Goose's Kensington down parka is fitted through the body, with openings in the front and back. Decorative snaps secure the flap closures on the body, fleece lined pockets and wrists. Adjustable straps at the waist give a feminine shape to the parka. Cozy extras on the Kensington like the fleece lined hood and interior shoulder straps for shopping and the subway make this parka a favorite amongst fashionable city dwellers and commuters.

A sportier style, the Canda Goose Trillium down parka keeps things simple with a more generous fit through the body and basic snap closures on the body and fleece lined front pockets. The Trillium features longer sleeves than the Kensington parka, with rib knit cuffs inside its sleeve and interior cords to tighten the waist. The coyote fur trimmed hood is completely removable.

A newer style to the Canada Goose family, the Canada Goose Shelburne parka has a quilted shell for ultimate warmth and added style. The fitted bodice, understated snap closures and slanted, fleece lined pockets add sophistication to the heavy duty parka.

When thinking of warmth, the Canada Goose Thermal Experience Index (TEI) will help you decide the best parka for your performance needs. The Trillium parka has a higher TEI of 4, while the Kensington and Shelburne parkas have a TEI of 3. No matter what parka you pick, you will never find outerwear that exceeds Canada Goose in quality and craftsmanship! Order your Canada Goose women's parka at Saint Bernard and enjoy free three day shipping and free returns.

Meet Samra at the Saint Bernard Inwood Village store on Thursday, August 6, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with bloggers Bishop & Holland for shoe shopping and signing and free Fluffpop cotton candy and champagne.

“The mission of our women’s department at Saint Bernard has always been to help women feel comfortable, beautiful and stylish for their lifestyles,” says Wes Goyer, founder and president of St. Bernard Sports. “Yosi Samra has developed a line that encourages style and a sense of adventure, and it is a privilege to work with him and welcome him to our store.”

Samra is looking forward to personally meeting the shoppers of one of his favorite stores in Dallas.

“My family and I always enjoy shopping at Saint Bernard,” Samra says. “We always have a great shopping experience and know we will find everything we need.”
